The shutdown of the school amid Covid -19 couldn't dampen the spirits of
the students on Teachers' Day. The Salwanians put up a great virtual show
expressing their heartfelt gratitude for their teachers. The highlight of
the programme was a well-collaborated dance performance which left everyone
mesmerised. The presentation also included the heart-warming messages sent
by the School Alumni thanking their teachers for helping them discover their
potential. Mohak Khanna, the Head Boy and Tanishka Khokhar, the Head Girl,
in their address, spoke about the importance of the day and thanked teachers
for their relentless service and unconditional support. The whole programme
was put together by the Student Council and was shown to the students in
their online class.
The tiny tots of the Montessori wing expressed
their love and appreciation for their gurus through a plethora of activities
like mirroring their teachers, making cards, singing rhymes and songs.
During their online classes, teachers also discussed the significance of
this auspicious day and the contribution of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan,
the second President of India who was a diplomat, a philosopher and above
all, a great teacher.
The virtual celebrations concluded with the
teachers attending a webinar- 'Changing Roles of Teachers' organised by
FICCI to appreciate their commitment, passion and perseverance towards
building the nation.
